Mark's finds great fulfillment is helping clients attain their life goals through intelligent and proven financial management and investment strategies. He truly cares which is why he stresses the importance of patience, perspective and commitment to enduring wealth creation and preservation. His honesty and ability to clearly explain complex concepts sets the tone for the team's exceptional service commitment.

After graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University, Mark obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2004. He was named to the Financial Planning Standards Council Presidents List for having achieved one of the highest marks in Canada on the CFP® exam that year. Mark has been in financial services since 1998. He started his own financial planning practice in 2002 before establishing ClearRock Financial in 2013. 

 

Mark takes pride in serving his community and has been on the board of directors for several local organizations including the Epilepsy Waterloo-Wellington, Community Care Concepts and the Kiwanis Club of Elmira. Mark is proudly married to his wife Julie and lives in Elmira. He is an active outdoor enthusiast and enjoys gardening, skiing, golfing and hiking. When at home, he and Julie love to cook and entertain.

Julie Burjoski, CFP®

Julie works side-by-side with Mark with financial plan creation and is dedicated to providing first class knowledge and support. She is the go-to person for insurance planning. Julie works with a variety of clients with a focus on professionals and young families. Clients appreciate her honest, transparent and friendly approach to planning. Julie is a detailed planner in all aspects of her life which is perfectly aligned with the ClearRock philosophy and methodology.

A graduate of the University of Toronto in 2008, Julie began her career in the financial services industry that same year with Manulife Financial. She obtained her Life Insurance License in 2009 and, after moving to Waterloo, joined ClearRock Financial in 2012. After several years of rigorous study, she obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in June of 2018.

Julie and her husband Mark have 2 young children, a daughter and son. The kids keep them on their toes, and they like to spend time together, usually at a park, play place, or the family cottage.

Amy Phillips

Administrative Assistant

Amy joined ClearRock Financial in 2017. She manages a variety of administrative tasks at the office including the scheduling of meetings and assisting with the daily operations within the office. She enjoys working with clients who are invested in themselves and work cooperatively with the team. Clients feel welcome with her warm, caring and friendly demeanor.

Amy has worked in a managerial role within various industries in her past employment. Amy decided to change her career to an administrative role and in 2016; she graduated with her Administrator Diploma from Trios College. Amy always had an interest in the financial industry; being a people person so she feels a natural fit in her role. 

Amy is dedicated to giving back to her community. She has volunteered and donated to many charitable organizations. She is past president of the Business and Women’s club of Cambridge and member of KW Business and Professional Women’s club. She is married and has a son and a granddaughter. She also enjoys culinary arts and exploring the outdoors.
